Für meinen bevorstehenden Umzug nach Dortmund habe ich mir in Google Earth eine Reihe von interessanten Punkten rund um Dortmund Hauptbahnhof markiert, um schnell sehen zu können, ob eine Wohnung an Adresse X nah genug an einem Rewe oder einer Sparkasse ist. Für die Nextbike-Radstationen gab es bereits eine KML-Datei, sodass ich sowieso alle Radstationen in Google Earth habe. Für Packstationen gibt es das bei OpenStreetMap - kann ja nicht so schwer sein, das zu konvertieren, dachte ich.
Ist es auch nicht. Aber bis man dazu mal ein Tool findet... daher hier ganz kurz der Hinweis auf das folgende Tool, dass unglaublich viele Formate untereinander konvertieren kann, darunter auch das OSM-XML-Format, KML und das GPS-Format GPX: GPSBabel. Natürlich kostenlos und für alle Betriebssysteme verfügbar.
Und weil's so schön ist, nochmal auf englisch, damit möglichst viele Suchende fündig werden.

Since I am moving to Dortmund in a few months I marked some important points in Google Earth. So now I can see if there is a supermarket or a bank near a flat's address. For Nextbike cycle hire stations I already had a KML file so all the stations are in Google Earth. For parcel pickup there is a list in OpenStreetMap.
It turned out conversion from OSM to Google KML is not hard but it is hard to find a tool that does it. So take this as a hint. GPSBabel converts between a lot of formats, including OSM, KML and GPX. It is free and available for all OS.
